  1. Cookie Notice

    This Cookie Notice explains how London Football uses cookies and similar technologies on londonfootball.uk, the London Football app, and other services that link to this notice. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

    Silence, closing the banner, scrolling or continuing to browse does not mean consent. Optional technologies run only after you select Allow All or enable them in Cookie Settings and select Save Choices.

  2. What we use

    A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, local storage and tags. This notice describes only the technologies the London Football website and app currently use.

    We use necessary technologies to run our website and app. With your permission, we also use analytics and advertising technologies.

    We group them as follows:

    • Strictly necessary technologies — required for the service to work. These do not need consent.
    • Analytics cookies — used only with your permission.
    • Advertising cookies — used only with your permission. We do not use them for personalised advertising.

    We do not currently use separate social-media sharing plugins, Flash cookies, connected-TV tracking, or interest-based ad networks other than the providers listed below.

  3. Strictly necessary technologies

    These technologies are essential for security, signing in, submitting forms, remembering your cookie choice, processing a payment you request, and providing the website or app. They cannot be switched off in Cookie Settings. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the service may not work.

    • Laravel session cookie (first party, typically named after the site session, for example a _session cookie). Purpose: keep you signed in for a visit and maintain security. Duration: session or the configured session lifetime. Consent: not required (strictly necessary).
    • XSRF-TOKEN (first party). Purpose: protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Duration: session. Consent: not required (strictly necessary).
    • lf_cookie_consent_v2 (first party). Purpose: store that you have made a cookie choice, which optional groups you selected, the consent version, and the time of the choice. Duration: 365 days. Consent: not required (strictly necessary preference storage).
    • theme_id (first party). Purpose: remember a colour theme you have chosen. Duration: persistent while the preference is stored. Consent: not required (strictly necessary for a setting you requested).
    • device_token and webpush_endpoint (first party). Purpose: send notifications after you ask to receive them. Duration: up to 30 days. Consent: not required for that requested service.
    • Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), used on forms you submit. Purpose: reduce spam and abuse. Storage may include Google cookies such as _GRECAPTCHA. Consent: not required for fraud prevention on a form you choose to send.
    • Payment providers (currently Worldpay or Revolut, depending on configuration) may set strictly necessary cookies to complete a payment you start.

  4. Analytics

    If you allow Analytics Cookies, we load Google technologies to understand how the website and app are used, such as which pages are visited. This is not limited to anonymous aggregate statistics: Google may set identifiers on your device. We therefore ask for consent and do not rely on the PECR statistical-purpose exception.

    • Google Analytics 4, loaded when a Google measurement ID is configured. Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Typical cookies include _ga and _ga_* (up to 2 years). These identify a browser or app install for analytics. First and third party. Consent required.
    • Google Tag Manager, loaded when a Google Tag Manager container ID is configured. Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Used to load the analytics and advertising tags described in this notice. After you choose, we also send a consent-update signal to Tag Manager so tags in that container can follow your choice. Consent required for this optional use.

    Google’s privacy information is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

    If you refuse Analytics Cookies, these tags are not loaded. If you later withdraw consent, we update Google’s consent signals and delete first-party Google analytics cookies that we can identify.

  5. Advertising

    If you allow Advertising Cookies, we use them to measure advertising, including whether an advert led to a team enquiry. London Football does not use these technologies for personalised advertising. Google Consent Mode keeps ad_personalization denied.

    • Google Ads measurement, usually delivered through Google Tag Manager. Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Typical cookies can include _gcl_au and related Google click identifiers (often up to 90 days). Consent required. This may also set Google’s ad_storage and ad_user_data signals to granted.
    • Hashed team-enquiry conversion records. If you allow Advertising Cookies and later submit a team enquiry, we store that advertising-measurement permission with the enquiry. If that enquiry later becomes a qualified team lead, we may send Google a conversion record that includes SHA-256 hashes of the email address and, where valid, phone number. Hashed values are still personal data. They are not anonymous. Ad personalisation for that export remains denied. Provider: Google. This is not a browser cookie; it depends on the advertising choice you saved.
    • Meta Pixel. Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited / Meta Platforms, Inc. Typical cookies include _fbp (about 90 days). Used for advertising measurement of London Football traffic. Consent required. Meta’s privacy policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

    If you refuse Advertising Cookies, these tags are not loaded and we do not treat a later team enquiry as advertising-measurement consent.

  6. Changing your choices

    You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through on this page, or from the first-layer banner before you have chosen. Withdrawing a category is as easy as giving permission: open Cookie Settings, switch the category off, and select Save Choices.

    Blocking strictly necessary cookies in your browser may stop sign-in, forms or payments from working. Your cookie preference is stored only on the device and browser you used.
